Is the treatment painful?
The laser feels like a small rubber band snapping on the skin. Each person's pain tolerance is different and some people may feel almost nothing at all. If necessary, 4% topical lidocaine is available for purchase.
Is it permanent?
The FDA has approved the lasers used at Clinique Le Beau for permanent hair reduction. Once a hair follicle has been destroyed, it cannot grow back. Your consultant will discuss certain medical conditions that may cause varying results, if applicable to you.
Are there any side effects?
A normal reaction is redness and a slight rash in the treatment area. The sensation is similar to a sunburn. This reaction can last from several hours to up to several days. Since each individual is unique, we encourage you to schedule your free consultation for a personal evaluation. Your consultant will discuss any further side effects, if applicable to you.
How does it work?
The light emitted by the laser is highly concentrated and targets the pigment in the hair. The heat build-up in a fraction of a second destroys the hair follicle and retards or prevents future hair growth.
Is the treatment effective on all skin types?
Yes. The FDA has approved our lasers as safe and effective for all skin types. Not all lasers are safe for all skin types - please use caution.
How much does it cost?
Your initial consultation is completely free. During your free consultation, we will be able to determine your exact cost per treatment. Single treatment prices begin at $150 and go up. Package prices are available at reduced rates. |
